Since 1914, Family Service Center has been dedicated to providing vital relief to families in need throughout our community.
As a non-profit counseling agency, we proudly serve all residents in Southeast Texas, providing mental health counseling services without regard to ethnicity, gender, age, diagnosis, or economic status.
Our goal is to support and strengthen families for better functional and optimal living among children, adults, and communities throughout Galveston, Brazoria, Harris, Liberty, and Chambers Counties.

Parent Education
At FSC, we believe that prevention and early intervention are key. That's why our Fatherhood Program goes the extra mile to engage parents and provide counseling, education, and prevention services to both fathers and father figures.
Access to Mental Healthcare
FSC provides high-quality mental health care in collaboration with schools, health clinics, churches, and county offices, to foster a healthy Galveston County.
Children at Risk
FSC provides community-based services in Galveston County schools and at the Juvenile Justice Center to aid children at risk. The organization addresses various social, emotional, behavioral, and educational concerns. FSC also operates Adverse Childhood Experiences to Assets Collaborative to enhance resiliency, mental health, and well-being for all members of the community.
Victims of Crime
FSC helps victims of crimes such as child abuse, domestic violence, assault, bullying, and more. In particular, we provide support to help these community members recover and live safely and securely.
Scope of Service
At Family Service Center, we believe that everyone deserves access to comprehensive prevention, education, and top-notch mental health treatment. We serve the entire community of Galveston, Harris, Chambers, and Liberty Counties, including school, offices, and other local organizations. We strive to empower individuals and families impacted by life events that affect their ability to function by providing resources and services to increase hope, reduce trauma, and build on strengths.
